Looks like the new board game you pay mana to flip the hex-tiles, and then get the effect on the tiles. I could be wrong *shrug*
Anyway, sucks that AotP is pretty much dead. Picked up the final expansion for 10 bucks at Walmart. Hasbro could have easily recycled the HeroScape stuff for AotPW but it's like they weren't even trying. They'll try to blame lack of interest on why it flopped. No, it was their lack of effort is why AotP flopped. Same thing happened with MageKnight Resurrection. Lack of effort on part of the company = game not doing well.
Oh well, I got some good DnD minis out of it. And maybe when my kid is a little older he'll be interested in playing.

Where did you grab that info with those flippable hexes ? Is anything about that future game known ? An educated guess. The back of the tiles have what appears to be a Mana Cost. The Fronts have effects. Ergo, you pay the manacost of the tile to reveal it and activate the effect. magic.wizards.com/en/products/explorers-ixalanSo it's basically MtG with a new mechanic.

Is there any way to pressure Hasbro or wotc in making more content of Aoto? Like with a petition or suggesting them to start a Kickstarter to see if there's profitability?

Unfortunately, I think not given the history of Heroscape. However, we the community can keep this game alive. Although the circumstances were a little different, this situation reminds me of Chip's Challenge, a computer game from 1989 ( Wikipedia article). The sequel was made in 1999 but took 25 years to be released due to conflicts with the company that owned the game; negotiations were supported by the community for Chip's Challenge. So maybe with enough support on our end, Wizards will eventually bring the game back into the limelight. I guess only time will tell.
