Not intended to be competition-quality, just an improvement on the unpainteds. Not sure if I'm going to do anything with the translucent miniatures or not. These are pretty quick to paint, and it isn't really possible to do a ton of work because the details vanish pretty fast if you don't thin your paints carefully. A lot of gentle drybrushing and judicious use of washes are required.

Really awesome! Are you also going to paint the rhox? Also, what kind of paints did you use? I might try this!

They look great. How long did it take for each fig?

These were done with Games Workshop acrylics. The figures took 20-60 mins each depending on how careful I was.

Did you do any special preparation for these models prior to painting? Or just the usual primer and then paint type of situation?

Pretty standard. I gave them a quick scrub with a toothbrush and some dish soap, then just primed and painted. They seem to hold paint well.

Nice. I was worried that the plastic would not hold primer well since it is a bit on the rubbery side. I no longer have an excuse not to paint mine, other than the usual laziness that comes to miniature wargamers. haha.

IMO: You did a fantastic job for *NOT* being "competition-quality" this is a vast improvement to the right out of the box UN-painted figures. I too was concerned that the 'rubbery' plastic would not hold paint well. What primer did you use?

Honestly? I just painted on Games Workshop or "base" paint, since I ran out of actual "primer." I've handled them a lot, and they've not chipped or shed, so I'm pretty pleased.

Y'all are putting me to shame...
And I just realized I didn't take any pics of my completed paint jobs. Need to rectify that. Oh look, I have a new camera I need to play with...
If I didn't have my mother's funeral to attend tomarrow (or dinner with my brother whom I haven't seen since I was two tonight) I'd remedy that...
Time... Time... ASK ME FOR ANYTHING BUT TIME!

Bluecloud, I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. You had mentioned that you were going through some difficult times - they don't get much more difficult than that. You have my most sincere condolences. I hope that your meeting with your brother is something that may give you some comfort. May peace and prayers go with you.

Just got done meeting him for the first time... we are very similar (and the areas we differ are the same as the areas where I differed from my mother lol).
Anyways, thanks for your well-wishes. I will be glad when this whole mess is done and over with.
