I'm surprised  only gets three figures +Jace.
I guess they're counting on the  of spells to carry things, like usual.
On another note, at least we finally have opaque figures.
I think this speaks to the likelihood of an EMN expansion, since Tamiyo is and got less creatures, and there is a clear lack of the iconic  Zombies of Innistrad, which Liliana likes to make use of.
I'm also expecting a  Hero, maybe a werewolf or Sigarda, and  werewolves and  spirits, but I might be getting ahead of myself. For the card game they revealed the Tamiyo card. She is Bant ( ) this time around. I really don't know if they would do a 3 colored walker in this game (yet), adding extra colors gives a huge boost in simply because of the flexibility and the ability to combine so many different cards and units. I guess they could balance it by making the walker cost more points, but they haven't really done that with the 2 color walkers. Kiora and Nahiri are cheaper than Gideon, for example. If we do get a mini expansion, I would love it to be 2 common squads of each color and terrain, so they can sell it for a low price and we can buy multiples. I am okay with waiting until Kaladesh to get a hero if it means we can get cheap commons sooner. edit: each color could get a normal common squad and an Emrakul corrupted common squad. That'd be cool. |

Does anyone remember how long after the last sets went on sale on Amazon that it took for them to begin appearing in stores?

Does anyone remember how long after the last sets went on sale on Amazon that it took for them to begin appearing in stores? My LGS didn't get it until months after Amazon. IDK about the big box stores, though. |

Wow, I never saw the new Tamiyo, she looks awesome. Of course, they don't actually need new PWs. I'd actually prefer no new walkers in the game (we are getting 4 after all) and just have a set devoted to only creatures. I feel that multi-colors, while more flexible now, aren't perfect. I'm assuming we'll get more cards like Honor of the Pure that only work if you're only playing one color (of course, you could only play creatures and still fit in spells) just like how in the main game there are cards that work better when you're more focused on a single color, like cards with three or more symbols in the mana cost want you to mainly play mono- to be able to reliably cast it. There could also be creatures that require your PW to only be or or whatnot, and no other colors. It's a relatively new game, they're working out the bugs. And Gideon is pretty cool as-is anyway. |

In my area it was almost another month before the big box stores had it on their shelves. |

A stand alone set is always going to have to have planeswalkers, and it would be silly to release the same ones. So for now, I think we'll always get them. I could see a future expansion leaving them out, but somehow I don't think it's likely. I'd imagine every product release would have at least one 'walker in it.
I agree though; I'd like some more creature/squad/hero options and we're finally getting somewhere with the game in that respect!

In my area it was almost another month before the big box stores had it on their shelves. I was afraid of that. I'd like to patronize my local guy, but I don't think I can wait that long. It doesn't help that I now live in an apartment where deliveries are often "misplaced." |

It will trigger once per turn, so for attacking and defending. EDIT3: Sorin looks like my new fav. All the heroes look really powerful. EDIT4: Wake the Dead ability is lit EDIT5: Lantern Geists make Jace's guessing ability kinda good FINAL EDIT: They absolutely NAILED the flavor of each color with this set. I love the flavor of the self harm cards, I wonder how they'll actually play. I wanna play sorin with mono-reanimator as my army.

It's absolutely ridiculous how little hype or advertising they are putting into this. They literally just start selling it one day... I even tried to tweet to Ethan Fleischer in late April to see if we could get any teasers and got back "I can't say." The game could be doing -so- much better with just a little bit of effort on their part. The number of my M:TG playing friends who have literally no idea this game exists is a total joke. In other news, My expansion should be here tomorrow afternoon! I'm pumped! |

At the right-side top of the CREATE POST page is a box called ADD ATTACHMENT. Click that button, then click on add files. Select the files you want to display. before clicking on done, make sure you click on INSERT for each of the images. That displays the image in the post. I can't wait to see what you've got!! |
