I think we'll see vamps and spirits for Sorin's squads. Nahiri makes since with angels and something else, maybe a crazed villager like we see in the background of cards like Nahiri's Machinations. Arlinn could have or werewolves, but I really can't see them doing multicolored squads yet. MAYBE there will be some multicolored cards tho.

I can see the squads being multicolored. As in a squad being used by a Planeswalkers who is or or & . I just don't see them making multicolored squads, such as who can ONLY be used by a & Planeswalker. That type of restriction would seriously curb options, and royally piss a lot of consumers off with such restrictions.

Theory as to why we do not have any information for this expansion yet. The story for Innistrad gave us a mystery to solve.
What if Hasbro has yet to release any information for this set because they would ruin the mystery?
Another theory
Wizards just had an announcement day and is coming out with the duel deck product showing Nyssa and Ob Nixilus fighting it out. That happened last year on Zendikar. I thought on this and eventually came to this conclusion.
Maybe Hasbro is being told not to release our board game expansion until Innistrad is finished.
In some respects, it makes sense. I know I enjoy magic cards. They probably want someone like me to buy the cards of the set and buy the board game. If they offered me these two options at the same time, I would choose to only buy this game. I enjoy this game more and would choose to experience Innistrad in 3D. By not releasing them at the same time, wizards is not competing with itself (through Hasbro).
In other words, I do not think the lack of news means this game is dead, and I am trying to justify the long wait.

More Eldrazi!!! Maybe they didn't release info for this set because the set will have more Eldrazi! Speculation of course, but I want more Eldrazi! Enough to field a pure Eldrazi team. I will fudge the rules if I have to. No spells, all eldrazi starting on the field, whatever it takes to recreate the Gatewatch fighting Eldrazi!
Must retain myself. With how much content there is rumored for this expansion already, there may need to be an Eldritch Moon expansion for me to get my wish. Still, the possibilities excite me.

I'm on the "aotp is dead" team. At best, Hasbro seems indifferent to its success. I'll be shocked if the SoI expansion ever sees the light of day.

To be fair the announcement did say details weren't coming till this fall witch isn't until the end of September. It will probably get a late fall release in time for Christmas. Also, I don't think they would let it die so quickly with just only one expansion. It's just that it gets over looked because of its older sibling.

Yay! I can't wait! I for one am looking forward to another Jace (He's always been my favorite) It looks like the other colors are / , / , / , and Jace might be / , which would be interesting. It also looks like the other figures are more Hero-esque, which will make things interesting as well. I can't wait!

what do you guys think of a second jace? There were two figures in Heroscape that had the same name but had different powers (Sgt. Drake and Raelin). I would expect that there will need to be a few special rules to deal with 2 different Jace PWs. My guess is that Jace1 and Jace2 will not be allowed on the same team, but would be allowed on opposing teams in the same game. I also suspect that Jace1 will not be able to Mindsteal Jace2. The idea behind that is that an army may not have two of the same unique figure, even for only as long as the Mindsteal would be active. I expect some very tricky questions will occur with Jace1 vs Jace2. I personally would have preferred that none of the PWs would have more than one option, simply because there will be special rules needed and future spell cards will probably cause additional questions.

So HAPPPYYYY. Did any one else notice that it says for two to four players instead of two to five. That probably means that Arlinn will have a transform mechanic between her two figures.

I suppose that since it is a stand-alone expansion, by itself it only supports up to 4 players. Good catch!

I am sooooooo disappointed that they are repeating Jace as a character in a block that has Tamiyo. I never really took the "we're sick of Jace" sentiment seriously, but I get it now.

So I'm assuming that the 4 non-PWs are hero creatures. I hope I am wrong. In the BfZ expansion, the card Earthen Arms was printed, a card that effects heroes. currently has no heroes and only Kiora could use the card (on the Roilmage) I am praying that there is a hero so that we can play Earthen Arms with more PWs. Arlinn can play Earthen Arms on the Mad Prophet, but I want maximum flexibility.
