The lack of news releases from hasbro is driving me insane. Last year about this time we had found out about the BFZ expansion. I fully expected to know something about the next expansion by now. The more time that goes by since WotC Magic announcement day in September the less I think that the Kaladesh expansion will materialize... I need some news.

Last year they announced the base game wayyyy before release. Then they announced BFZ last August and released it around the new year. They announced Innistrad in late Feb and released in early July.
Basically they have been announcing things closer to release each time. I'm not super worried that they haven't announced Kaladesh yet, but according to the pattern they should be announcing it soon.
The fact that Craig Van Ness left Hasbro really worries me. But Innistrad was so good I am optimistic that they are sticking with it. If we don't get any news by early Nov I will REALLY start to worry.

Agreed. It's frustrating the lack of visibility the game has gotten from Hasbro/WoTC. I've mentioned it before, but I play magic pretty heavily and very few of my hardcore MTG friends even knew it existed until I brought it up to them months after release.
Your post just gave me impetus to tweet to Ethan Fleischer and ask if we have any news on the horizon, He's been responsive in the past so maybe we'll get some insight

Maybe we can pressure him into saying SOMETHING!

Hmm, I'm worried about the fact that Innistrad seems to only in America, and I've asked ´2 or 3 times at Hasbro customer service when it's supposed to come to Europe, but nothing :/

We have the german version here in austria (and germany) since approximately 1 month, but it is called "Magic the Gathering-Arena Tears and Fears" on Amazon and in other stores. The only non-online-store that has SoI in stock is ToysRus and maybe Thalia. I got my copy 3 days ago and I love it, but there have been no announcements aboute the release.

Too bad that there are no news aboute a new expansion yet. I hope we will get a new expansion. Would have been realy nice to have Dovin Baan, Shaheeli Rai and Tezzeret as new Planeswalkers and new versions of Chandra and Nissa. But maybe we will get an Aether Revolt expansion/stand alone. Or they are skipping Kaladesh and go directly for Amonkhet. Or we will get no more expansions...

I have a feeling that either they are waiting for Amonkhet before they release another since that block will be featuring the big baddy of all the multiverse, Nicol Bolas.
However, I also feel that if we haven't seen anything by the time Amonket comes along then AotP might already be dead. :/

I'm still holding out hope that the game will continue without Craig Van Ness. If not I'm going to be playing with a lot of custom squads, heroes, and Planeswalkers. Plus figuring out the best way to port regular MtG cards into the game.

I think vehicles wont be a nice addition to board game. But kaladesh has more to offer. It could be a small set like zendikar, with Ajani and Tezzeret, some artifacts and artifacts squad and a squad , , and .

Do we know how well everything is selling? In my area, clearance shelves everywhere are filled to burst with the base set, so I'm a bit worried that it's just not selling well enough for Hasbro to decide that an expansion is worth making.

Similar deals are on Amazon...
The deals don't worry me as much as the silence... I hate that they created a game like this (gets better with more content) and yet they just stopped all products and communication...
Does anyone know of any news? Even if it is a confirmation of Hasbro pulling the plug... I just want to know at this point.

My guess is that if we do not see anything produced by July 1st, as we have seen consistently each year as a date for release of product, then we may assume it is done.

Is anyone else surprised Wizards does not advertise or at least have a link to AotP on their Magic site? I realize it's a Hasbro product, technically, but it's their branding... it's like Wizards doesn't want to acknowledge it.
Further, this makes me wonder how much collaboration is really involved between the two companies. Obviously, the TCG game is phenomenal and has been kicking a** for decades... you would think that if even a few of the minds behind the TCG were providing input to the CMG that it'd continue to be great.

Yeah that kind of wonders me as well. I just wrote an email to wotc with a question on future support of aotp, and had no chance to choose the product arena of the planeswalkers. That just doesn't look good :/

They actually do some subtle advertising for it, on the back of one of the tokens, I found an ad for it XD so they do advertise it, just in places people wouldn't expect
