Its been revealed that Amonkhet will be the next ccg block after Kaladesh, releasing in April of 2017. It is the plane ruled by the dragon Nicol Bolas, one of the most powerful beings in the multiverse.   Since the block sets that start in April seem to to be what we get for the July core set box, we may have a new Egyptian-esque themed set coming next year. I'm still hoping every release will be a big core set box in size, and after we see how Kaladesh is handled we'll be better able to see the release pattern emerge. |

If they do make Nicol Bolas into a Planeswalker, it will be interesting to see if they make him into his tri colored state.
I think doing so in general would not be a good idea, but there is an adversary set for the CCG being released (2 vs. Nicol Bolas) that makes me think he'll be a playable Planeswalker and a multi player adversary as well, like the eldrazi was.
Just an educated guess.

if Kaladesh is a small expansion then by pattern, Amonkhet would be the next stand alone expansion so trials of the five gods as scenarios and pyramid terrain

Just an educated guess. You know what, Mentally I didn't even think about the prospect of him being a PW, was just assuming another large hero. Storywise though, Planeswalker makes way more sense and having a 'Huge' 2-hex PW is a cool possibility |

A   and  2-hex huge Plainswalker would be sweet. I could see a Zendikar sized expansion with this plus a  &  plansewalker and a bunch of figs and spells, hopefully some dragons and wrymlings. |

I'm well behind on my MTG lore, but I know there at least used to be a relationship between Ajani and Nicol Bolas and Ajani's been seeing lots of prints lately, so if we do see a planeswalker it could be him. That would be pretty awesome and hopefully the union of the two colors would be able to add some life to them. Sorry to bump up an old post, but I thought it might become a little relevant again since we're getting pretty close to that set coming out... at least in MTG. |

I just recently bought the Ajani premade deck for Aether Revolt. So I'd be down to see an Ajani in AotP. At this point though, I'll be happy for any PW, any set, any Army. I would like to see some Non-Unique armies. Would certainly give reason to buy multiple copies of a set.

I hope Habsro hasn't abandoned AOTP. A Nicol Bolas vs. many scenario including an anthropomorphic lion planeswalker sounds awesome. I do like that all of the squads are unique though.

Still waiting for news. I found some where that hasbro is doing a press release on Feb 17th for their plans of 2017. Maybe we'll get some info then.

So even if you Google images for " Hasbro 2017 press release " there is already leaks on most of their up coming products... but nothing on arena at all, this frightens me that it has already died and they haven't made the Call yet...

Now that I like to hear. Obviously I've got an affinity for the guys. They're the only constructed Heroscape army I really play. Have you been able to translate them into AotP? I'm having trouble ensuring it's all well balanced.

If we're lucky, they may at least tell us if anything will happen in the future, even if it's just not actually ready yet. My biggest hope is that I would like to think if it's being cancelled they'd be willing to just admit to it rather than dance around questions like they are. |
