I've seen some chatter about the Gencon tourney, with mixed results on satisfaction.
Would those of you who attended like to share what you brought? I think we would all be interested in seeing your lists, and your comments about it.

I brought Jace and the Ruiner. I took very few turns with the Ruiner over the course of 4 games. I don't remember exactly what my spell deck was. I started with the stock deck from the first set, dropped all the enchant squad cards, added in a couple of cards from Zendikar and one (crucial to my success) spell from Innistrad which allowed me to move a summoned creature to a space within 6 spaces.

The Ruiner was great for my army because he is really scary, so he ends up being a really hard to kill decoy.

Sounds like Essence Flux. Im not surprised it was crucial. There are so many nasty things to do with this card. Throw Welcome to the fold in there, and its just... ugh. I dont mind the level of . In fact, I like it. I mind that other colors are ridiculously underachieving against it.

I bought Innistrad just a few hours before the tournament and there was a lot of other stuff to do, so I didn't have time to really process the new stuff until yesterday when I was putting everything away. Some of the new cards are better than I had thought at first.
