I just got done playing 12 games in a row with a 9 win 3 loss ratio, ending my win streak.
The first portion of this report relates to a comment I left in “Simple way of how to fix Trample?”. The second is a game lost by bad luck. Both focus on the losses parts because nothing too interesting happened in the games I Won.
If for example I were to play Nissa, Elf Rangers, and Pummelroots I would lure my opponent in with making Nissa, or my Elves look like a good target. Then when my opponent's figure(s) get within 5 Spaces of Nissa I would summon my Pummelroots in a positioning in which they would take the most Engagement attacks if they would leave. Then on my next turn assuming they are still there, I would attack with the Pummelroots. After this, I would move Nissa back because of her Sprint.
My opponent was playing Chandra both matches I was using this tactic with Nissa. This is not a good tactic to use when facing a Chandra player because after she is surrounded the opponent can summon Blazing Firecats with Haste to surround Nissa. This got me killed twice with the opponent being able to attack with the Firecats and Chandra.
I was Ob Nixilis and my opponents were Kiora and Chandra. Kiora and Chandra formed an alliance about turn 2-3. I buffed my Malakir Bloodchasers with Dark Harvest making two of them 7 /3 . For several turns I attacked Kiora with these doing no damage, until Chandra killed them. A got 3 damage on Kiora with Ob but she healed with Bountiful Harvest. Chandra moved her Firecats, Phoenixes, and herself around me eventually. I dodged Chandra's attacks for one turn, then was killed by Kiora. In other words I got unlucky.
