here are some new artifact cards i created
I posted them on tumblr heres the link custom artifact cards
the rules for artifacts are as follows
artifacts are and can be added to any color deck
Artifact cards
a player can play an artifact as one of their three
spells on their turn when you do so you place it on the table next to your planewalker.you can control up to 2 (non equipment) artifact cards if you wish to play another you must discard one of the artifacts you already have in play. you may use the abilities on artifact cards once per turn as a free action unless otherwise specified by the card. If your planewalker ever leaves play discard all non equipment artifact cards you control.you may choose to discard your aftifacts at any time unless otherwised specified by the card.
artifacts count as spells but are not enchantments or sorceries.
Equipment artifact cards
a player can play an equipment artifact as one of their three
spells on their turn when you do so you will choose a single figure you control (the equipment will specify which type of figures) you will place an artifact token on the figure you choose and place the equipment under their squad card. That figure will benifit from any bonuses the equipment provides and if it provides an ability they may use it once per turn just like their other abilities, but equipment abilities do not count as abilities and are not affected by spells and abilities that target abilities. when a figure with equipment is destroyed if the figure that destroyed it is able to use that equipment it gains that equipment and the equipment artifact card that goes with it if they aren't the artifact token remains on the space that the figure it was equipped to occupied before it was destroyed and the first compatible figure that enters that space gains the equipment. when there is unclaimed equipment on the field the player that last controlled that equipment retains control of the equipment card until it is claimed. instead of taking an attack action a figure with equipment may pass it on to a compatible adjacent friendly figure, they may not do so if they are in an engagement or the figure they are passing it to is in an engagement, however they may take their move action to leave an engagement (taking any leaving engagement attacks) and then pass it to an adjacent figure that is not in an engagement.there is no limit to how many equipment you control but each figure may only have one equipment attached to it.
youll noticed that while there is techniccally nothing stoping there from being artifacts that you can use every turn there is almost no effect that they could give that would not make having them every turn to powerful although their are certainly some. so what i did is i made it so that you have to discard most of them after you use them which essentially makes them like spells that you hold in reserve to use on a later turn for free.
