Has anyone found any imbalances with what seems to be no downside to having more than one color? Almost all of the multicolored planeswalkers have equal or less cost allowing them to use all of the same combinations of armies as the monocolored ones.
In Magic the card game, color flexibility is restricted by lands and mana cost. Allowing the single colors to have stronger cards and the multiple colored decks to have flexibility.
Would giving the monocolored planeswalkers an extra 50 points to build their armies be too much? Number-wise it is just enough to add a low cost army card into the mix or exchange an army with a higher cost one. I am using 500 points for these observations.

I'd say that overall some of the base set PWs are a little weak. Gideon and Nissa in particular do seem to give up a little compared to Sorin and Arlinn. Overall though, I don't think it's a huge difference in , and I would also suggest 600 points over 500, it may help to tighten the gap some.

I do hear that 600 points has a bunch of benefits. But how would it tighten the gap if both multi and mono colored get 600? I understand that with more armies games will go on longer and therefore see less of an impact from specific combinations of army duos. But don't you want to see your strategic pair work the way you planned?

It makes your planeswalker 'less important' when you have 100 additional points to work with. It also allows some more synergistic builds.
Liliana is a great example.
At 500 points, Liliana + Zombies + Reavers is an alright time, but nothing too special.
At 600 points, Liliana + Zombies + Reavers + Ghoul vanguard now you really have some serious synergy and a 2nd 'must answer' target besides Liliana.
Gideon also has many figures that synergize better with more figures and the utility of being able to have heroes + squads.

A house rule that you can make would be to allow the mono color planeswalker to have 'first pick' of spell cards over the dual color planeswalker. I would believe this is fair considering that the mono color planeswalker is more devoted to the study of one color as opposed to two colors. Just my opinion.

I like the game well enough and it's been on deep enough discount that I've snagged at least 2 copies of each card now. My comments were based on assumption that everyone can take what they'd prefer.

Thank you both for your feedback. I will have to try with 650 points and first pick when using a limited card pool.
I haven't really looked at it much but could monocolored planeswalkers get, maybe a +5 point bonus, for building their spells deck?

I think that would be fair. I believe multi-colored planswalkers need to be a little higher in cost or the monocolored planewalkers need to be a little lower in cost. I like your idea SiegeLegend. I think that would give players an incentive to use the monocolored planeswalkers.
