Hello again. Jace( ) has a spell where he can swap with a squad creature he controls even if it is engaged. -The spell says you do not take leaving engagement penalties. If this spell is played and Jace decides to move after, would he take a leaving engagement penalty? Or does the spell cancel out the engagement which would apply for the opponent too? Next turn the opponent decides to move, are they no longer engaged in an attack? thanks

The leaving engagement comment refers only to the status of the figures at the time of the swap. One the swap has been finalized, leaving engagement is again active for all the figures.

Still getting up to speed on the rules as I learn the game, however this question was somewhat lame on my part.
In the manual it says any player\army that is adjacent to an enemy is automatically engaged. This would have answered my first question.
This means that any enemy attacking from range is not engaged and can move at will without taking a leaving engagement roll. This is because they are not adjacent. That is were my confusion came from.
