I have been combing through cards/figures from HeroScape to find figures that fit with Aotp rules. I have been fairly happy with the outcome. Here are some additions I have made to my Aotp sets.
:
lacks a hero figure. I have decided to give some size which is why I have added the Fen Hydra. I painted the base to reflect that he belongs to . I have been play testing with and against him. He is balanced and his cost of 120 points seems reasonable for what you get. Hydra heads is only good if you can keep his four life up. Reach is something that needs. Slither gives a way to combat armies. A second hero for that I am considering is Brandis, the Skyhunter. He gives a way to combat flyers and his Archer's glory can sometimes come in handy. He only costs 90 points to recruit.
:
There is no dragons in aotp. I have been play testing Mimring at the cost of 150 points and find him a little over priced. However, his Fire-Line Special Attack is why I think that 150 points is fair. I painted his base to reflect that he belongs to only. Flying in HeroScape works pretty much the same as Aotp.
:
I felt that needed a second hero so that it would be even with the other colors. I figured zombies have been done well and thought that either a demon or a dragon would be a good idea for . I settled on Othurik, the Dragon. He has flying and sprays acid which is unique for dragons. His Lurking Ambush attack would only work on the night time side of play mats we got from the Shadows Over Innistrad set. I figured that Kiora and her hero have a slight advantage over water environments. could gain an advantage at night time. I think this would fit with the flavor of the game.
These are a few of my suggestions for adding some variety to this game. Plus, these figures are already pre-painted and ready to go!
