I was just browsing through the site when I noticed that no one really likes at all. It's ranked on the bottom of everyone's list and Yawgmoth hasn't even posted any card lists for it. I get that it feels under powered, but it does have some pretty good units and spells. I think it could benifit from defensive spells that give a defensive boost "until the beginning of your next turn", that small change and some future life gaining spells would really make it feel like the defensive most of us enjoyed from the card game. What do you guys think? Any thoughts, comments, or suggestions about ?

I didnt play it yet, but with big heroes (like eldrazi ruiner) looks nice due all healing the cards provide. But I guess needs to be paired with another color to be good. / looks nice with a combo of kor hookmasters and unsummon spells, plus a planeswalker that could support it. / seems good for heroes, with lots of healing plus boost provided by . The new planeswalker Ajani is / , but it looks like we wont get any expansion for now.

I like to play as , but I use Nahiri or Sorin. I've never had any luck with Gideon. His appears very useful, but any time I or anyone playing with me tries to use him it's a disaster.

After the Innistrad Expansion, I started to like a bit more. is still my go to, but definitely has a lot going for it. The Korr Aeronaut captain is an extremely heavy hitter, especially when paired with some of 's spell cards and he gives the much needed mobility it had been lacking. Not to mention the ability to destroy EVERY non- squad creature adjacent. it can be quite devastating.. The problem I think it has is it's not "flashy" enough. burns, confuses, snuffs out, snipes and is... kinda all around decent. a little healing, a little range, etc.

I use both Sorin and Nahiri, but never Gideon. The base set had a horrible start for .

What do you guys think would make awesome? I think some super useful squad units would be nice. Every other color has at least one good squad unit (blazing firecats, blighted reavers, illusionary projections, kessig rangers) and to me it feels like kinda got the short and of the stick.

What do you guys think? Any thoughts, comments, or suggestions about ? Gideon has not had much luck in our games. Without Range or Direct Damage or bonus move, he really falls behind his fellow Planeswalkers. He's a beast if you can get him engaged - but there are enough ranged squads to give him some trouble. I think he needs to "survive the storm" and wait to summon until after his opponent has dropped their creatures. It is risky, but then he could drop figures to engage those units (if he is close enough). * Gideon got better with Avacyn. He'd be much better if the Aeronaut could carry Planeswalkers! * The Kor Hook-Masters were a little weak in my opinion - but maybe they drop at the right moment to pin down a squad and remember their Range 3 * I love how the Rhox Veterans looks but I think they needed another (to be 3/3). Still - keep them podded up until they get an enchantment boost for some trampling. Here's an (untested) Army Idea: GideonAvacynHook MastersRhox Veterans= 600 Spells: Battlewise Valor Blessing Chaplain's Blessing Fell The Mighty Gideon's Phalanx Healing Salve Inspired Charge Marked by Honor Near-Death Experience Skillful Lunge Solemn Offering Swift JusticeSome Healing to survive range, a Destroy everything, a Destroy enchantment, enchant Heroes and Squads - a little big of everything so very "toolbox."

I enjoy playing , with Gideon. I might be having better luck than some here. I do tend to summon later than the other planeswalkers. But by the time I do, I've enchanted my armies a bit. So they come out stronger than their base card. Gideon's abilities are great, in my opinion. Of I can get him in a crowd, his hit roll is high. Plus with the counterstrike ability, I'm able to do damage and potentially kill, when it's not even my turn. I tend to switch heroes between Avacyn and the Captain. Though I prefer avacyn. I don't know my deck off the top of my head. But half of it is enchantments. The rest is heals, with a few buff cards.
