Is this only the fields on the game board exchanged, or the attributes, after the attack? Or it means, if someone wants me attack, is swapped immediately. Thus it does not even come to the attack.

Here's an example:
One of my Zombies attacks one of your Leyline Phantoms when the Leyline Phantoms have previously been enchanted by Mind tricks. I roll for attack and you roll for defense. After your Phantom is given any wounds I may have dealt to it, we pick up the two figures and return them each to the board where the opposing figure had been at the beginning of combat.
We fight and then the figures trade places.
This would be effective against a Planeswalker. It would also be effective against ranged figures like elves.

Ok I understand. So I can bring a distance attacker near my other figures and attack one after the other.

Just a point, the enchantment takes the entire turn before it's destroyed. So, the sqaud will keep swapping places with the enemies while they are being attacked.
