Birds Of Paradice Squad Creature - Bird L-P-T-R-M 1-1-1-1-6 2 figures (UNIQUE) Cost: 25/12 Size: 4(maybe 3) Abilities: Flying ... Resident of ParadiceBirds of Paradise are all colors. Colors of Paradise You may include an additional card of any colour in your library costing no more than 25 points. As long as, you control at least one Birds of Paradise figure on the battlefield, you may cast any colour spells. Design Notes: 1. In MTG this birds generate 1 mana from any color. 2. Only 7 spells are effected by the "have all colors" part. And 2 of them is not usable for now and the one of them is requires so nothing extra happens. (Strangling Soot, Gideon's Phalanx, Honor of the Pure, Fell the Mighty, Seize the Day, Pyroclasm, Skyreaping) 3. I think, The purpose of getting this squad is to get 1 extra spell card. And this spell could be from any color so you can build various synergies. Therefor squad is intentionally underpowered. They are weaker then phoenixes and no rebirth. 4. I am not sure about cost of the spell but 25 seems ok. Very powerful 30+ spells are excluded and no obligation to weak ones. Edit: Splited ability and reworded.

I think functionally this squad is perfect. The additional spell card is more powerful than one might think so under-powering the stats of these creatures definitely works. Similarly I think having them as a unique squad prevents abuse of their ability.
In terms of written clarity, I would suggest separating the two parts of the ability into two abilities as they technically do separate things that just play off each other. Also, my suggestions for wording according to existing cards: IRIDESCENT PARADISE Birds of Paradise are all colors. COLORS OF PARADISE You may include an additional card of any colour in your library costing no more than 25 points. As long as a Birds of Paradise figure is on the battlefield under your control you may cast any colour spells as though they share a colour with your planeswalker.
The second part of COLORS OF PARADISE actually lets you cast the extra spell if it is a different colour as currently the game rules would prohibit that.

Moon I’ve always wanted to comment on this; but even now I’m still not I how I feel about this card. I’d add it to my collection, and it’s design it amazing, but I don’t know if id ever use it personally?
I feel it’s either very overpowered or very underpowered. But I also feel like I’m wrong here. Idk it’s a hella interesting card, have you selected figs for them yet?

Arcanis i really do not remember the spell color restriction at use. as far as I remember adding spell with different color is forbidden. There is a very tiny difference which i really wanted to use. But i can change wording as: You may include an additional card of any colour in your library costing no more than 25 points. As long as, you control at least one Birds of Paradise figure on the battlefield, you may cast any colour spells. (Something between yours and mine) About spliting the ability, I thought giving a squad 3 ability is something uncommon. No OG squad has that so i merged my initial 2 abilities. @joe i only theory crafted and compared card with OGs so i do not have ultimate balance value. There must be some players have a great idea about cross color combos. Maybe some combo with and buff for one big monster or destroy combo or boost on creature. Actually i dont have perfect example but someone will. I am looking for some figures but buying figures online is too costly because of where i live in. A friend of mine built a 3d printer so i may be use that or try to search my neighbors for some bird likely figures:( Thank you both for comments.

I think I am getting confused. There is the restriction that one cannot cast a spell if they no longer control a planeswalker but I'd have to check if there is any specific wording about colour.
The number of abilities is essentially arbitrary, it is more about what the abilities do and how powerful they are. Personally, I think it is more readable as separate abilities. Also, it is the cost that is more relevant for comparing different cards.
